3rd-party Software

Our software uses a number of open-source 3rd-party libraries from well-known and/or reputable sources, and a few from obscure sources. We do not vet the security of those software libraries. The same can be reviewed on our source code site.

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The FFEM app requires access to the camera, external storage and GPS sensors. All of this is solely in order to run the water and soil quality tests (to take pictures of the sample for analysis and storing related data). This data can be submitted to third party survey software such as ODK, KoBoToolbox, etc… as required by the user.

3rd-party Services

Our software can integerate with third party services that may collect information used to identify you.

The current recommended third party service for conducting surveys and collecting data is KoBoToolbox. The relevant privacy policy can be found their website.

If other third party services of your choice are used in conjunction with any FFEM software, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of those third party services.

Google Play Services

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Google Play Store

Downloads from the Google Play store of our software are compiled into aggregated usage statistics on our management portal.

Crash reports you elect to send are provided to us as anonymous crash reports. By design, these do not contain any information on test results or other device or user specific data.


Our websites can or do use cookies and can or do log all interactions. We also utilize security software, spam-blocking, and web-analytics tools (e.g., Google Web Analytics) that may track visitors and their access patterns on our web properties.
